ETUDE HOUSE BRIGHT BB CREAM

BB creams or beauty balms are tinted moisturizers which were first made to be used 

by post -operative laser treatment patients who had some degree of scarring on their 

faces and couldn't use foundation to cover it up.Well,the BB creams have come a long 

way from there.

Loved and raved for being easy to use and moisturizing.Disliked for the whitish 

look,sheer coverage and limited number of shades. BB creams,today, are a hit in

 beauty blogosphere. 

With so many companies and so many improved versions these babies are replacing 

foundation for many.

The BB cream comes in an impressive packing...a tube with a pump dispenser covered 

by a clear cap.The scent is mild...a little medicinal.It didn't bother me much.The cream 

was runny at first,but I used it  the second time after shaking well(not easy to do with 

tubes).This time the consistency resembled that of liquid foundation.Not too thick or 

too thin.(this is how it has been afterwards).

I used it like a moisturizer,but still not too liberally, because this is a common

 mistake  with BB creams.

It felt heavy on skin.A little oily too.I feared I was looking like an oil slick.So,I went to 

check in the mirror.To my amazement...It really had become my second skin.No fake, 

caked,layered up look.Just my own skin brightened and fairer.

It reduced the appearance of my pores and gave an even look to my skin.(I have open 

pores on my cheeks).Even in sunlight no one could tell I was wearing it :) .The 

coverage is sheer.You will have to use a concealer with it.

The shade [I don't know which one i got, since all Korean was written on the package], 

suited me(NC30) and my sister,who is a little darker then I am.So.its a "one shade fits 

all".I love it.

It stayed on my skin for a good 8 hours.Probably more if I didn't have to wash my 

face.After washing my face felt softer and my skin, more even.

I started using it in September so I cant say how it would do in hot, humid 

climate.However,people with dry skin can use it confidently even in summers.

In the mildly hot days of September, it did good for my very very  oily skin.A touch of 

transparent pressed powder will increase the shine free time of this cream..So,people 

with oily skin and combination skin can use it in winters for sure.I will definitely 

try it in summers and update the post.

It didn't break out my skin or that of  my two sisters.
