CATRICE PHOTO FINISH 18 HOUR LIQUID FOUNDATION in SUN BEIGE 040

Catrice offers such a vast range of makeup,all with quality and affordability.I was looking for some good moisturizing foundation for oily skin with nice coverage and stay time.During my research I came across Catrice 18 hour foundation.

My gut feeling told me to get and I followed it :-P(as is always the case where makeup is concerned).So,was my gut feeling able to find me my HG foundation?Lets see...

I got this one from Beauty Arena for PKR 1210.With delivery charges it cost around 1460PKR. 
The shade I wanted was Sun Beige and according to just4girls.pk it was outta stock(like most of my wishlist there),but beauty arena had it so I got my wish ^_^

I love the packaging.It comes with a smart pump with a unique shape.It dispenses very reasonable amount of product.No wasting.

The scent of this foundation is VERY strong.It is a floral smell.I like it at times but still it is strong.It lingers on my makeup brush even.

The shade I have is Sun Beige 040.It is a dark color for my skin(Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation Beige 54,Revlon Color Stay Foundation Natural Tan,Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation Ivory).My match was Caramel beige 030,but I wanted to test the theory of sales girls,"Always buy darker shade"blah blah. 

Anyways  at first it looked dark but then it adjusted a little.Maybe because of the photo finish technology and light reflection property,the shade started looking a little lighter on me then it was in the bottle.However,nowadays I do mix it with my Bourjois 123 Perfect to lighten the shade a little.

The consistency is  thick.This is my thickest liquid foundation so far.It is creamy.However,this does not prevent easy blending.The foundation blends really well.I love the way it blends and covers all imperfections.

Coverage is medium.Although it can be build up to almost full.It doesn't look cakey or over done at all.It just becomes your second skin,fresh and even looking.

Owing to thick formula it dries and sets relatively fast.Even my Bourjois 123 perfect foundation sets slower then this one.So I always take a drop at the back of my hand and buff it on my face in sections.Although it is thick and creamy it feels so light on skin.It feels my skin can breath even with this foundation on.

Thick formula and fast drying...You are thinking matte.Right?Wrong...The foundation gives a semi matte to dewy finish.It feels matte but looks dewy.My skin looks healthy and glowing when I wear this one,as you can see in the photos.I am not wearing any shimmer at all.Also I even skipped moisturizing my face(the photo was taken a few weeks ago when it was cold and dry).So I totally love the finish.The glow is because of light reflecting pigment I guess. ^_^

The foundation is good at controlling oil.After two hours I have to blot only my nose(which, normally,becomes shiny super fast).It keeps my skin oil free for at least 2 hours. 

Stay time is pretty good.I can safely vouch for 7-8 hours.My skin is super oily.No foundation can keep  the oil at bay except my favourite Bourjois 123 Perfect.So this one is a winner.

Do I have to say all the good things about this one.Wait till you hear this...No breakouts.I have been using it for over a month and no breakouts.So,Catrice has created an oily's best friend.

eeek a pimple.I just want you to observe how the foundation covered it.I went for medium coverage.Not too many layers.

[UPDATE:The catrice foundation comes in four shades only and all of them has pink undertones.SO this can be a problem for Asian skins which are more yellowish.The undertone mismatch may cause it to look ashy.]

RECOMMENDATION:

Yes yes of course. Oilies and people with dry skin both can use it,as is moisturizing and gives dewy glow-y finish.

I contacted Catrice on use of animal ingredients here is the response:

"Dear Shehrzad,
Thank you for your message and your interest in our products.
We do not use any ingredient that is derived directly from animals in our Photo Finish 18h Liquid Foundation.
But to give you the whole picture we would like to take the opportunity to explain you why we don’t call our products vegan: When producing our decorative products we do not use any ingredients directly derived from animals, such as placenta extracts or animal fat. We do, however, use materials such as beeswax, silk, or lanolin (wool fat from sheep) and the natural dye cochenille (CI 75470) which are indeed animal components, strictly speaking.
When manufacturing some types of ingredients we also use base components such as fatty acids at times, which may also be derived from animals. However, this does not make any of our ingredients questionable in the least. A careful process of filtration consisting of many different and diverse steps throughout the synthesis of our products guarantees that all of our products can be used without any objections.
Needless to say, due to the nature and origin of our products‘ components we do not consider our products „vegan.“

So,I think it is alright to use this foundation since it is free of animal ingredients.yippee.
