REVLON PHOTO READY CONCEALER STICK

Hi all,

Under eye dark circle are almost  every mom's problem.Students also suffer from them.Therefore the quest for a good under eye concealer is very important.I have started exploring REVLON of late and since this brand makes great complexion products I decided to try Revlon concealer too.My choice originally was Revlon color stay concealer pen,but it got some bad reviews stating that it causes dryness so I got this one instead.Take a look:

Observe the slight shimmer

I never knew my eyebrows looked this shaggy in the growing out phase.

I got it from Magiclamp.pk for PKR 1130.Here is the haul post.It was kinda pricey.May be the official Revlon counters offer it for less.I will have to check though.

The concealer comes in a lipstick like packaging with a swivel up stick.It is even shaped like a lipstick to fit the under eye contours better.

Consistency is creamy.In winters it did need some warming up with fingers.So I used to take it on my finger then blend.

Application is super easy jet-set-go type and I like this thing a lot.

The coverage is medium and very much build able.It gives a satin finish.This point is a plus for me, because under eye concealers should not be matte.

It does an average job of concealing the dark circles.It does lighten them, but that grey feel is still there.It hides pimples,redness around nose and scars very well.However,it does come off with harsh blending.

Stay time is average too.5-6 hours in winters.This will be much more reduced in summers.

I always have to set it with Ben Nye powder to avoid creasing.This has a big creasing problem like most cream concealers.My sister even advised an under eye anti-aging cream  after seeing the fine lines it settled into :(

As you can see in photos it does highlight the lines a bit.Well my sloth can be blamed too for not moisturizing the under eyes well enough.However,it will highlight the finest of lines so beware.

An interesting point is that it is very very similar to Benefit boi-ing concealer in shade 03.That concealer is a great one by benefit so finding a dupe sounds good to me.

GOOD POINTS:

1)-Travel friendly.Sleek packaging.

2)-Easy to apply.

3)-Creamy.

4)-Brightening

5)-No break outs

6)-Good for covering up pimples.

7)-Dupe of Benefit Boi-ing in 03.

BAD POINTS:

1)-Price.

2)-Shimmery although  very slight but some may not like it.The shimmer is slightly visible in sunlight only.

3)-Coverage of dark circle is average.

4)-Not very suitable for dry skin in winters.However,it will work fine for them in summers of Pakistan.

RATING:

Overall its an average concealer with average stay time and coverage.Price is a big turn off for me.
