LUSCIOUS SIGNATURE LIPSTICK IN RASPBERRY

Summers are here in full blaze.While everyone is deciding and stocking upon sunscreens and mattifying lotions,my worry has taken a little different direction...The right lip color.Yeah you heard me right.I just can not find the right color for these days.Glosses,while looking natural and fresh can look horrible with melting makeup.

So on a job like mine,(where I get to sneak a peek in the wash room mirror only once a day) I do need a lipstick which is affordable(so I don't feel guilty using it daily),has good stay time and of course has a pretty color which doesn't make me look washed out or TANNED.Most importantly the color should not be so loud that it becomes ugly or too hot to look at.You see how tough it is to come by this one :( .

Recently I got to try this beauty by Luscious.

Well,for now lets read my experience of  signature lippy by luscious and decide if its working for me.

Price is PKR 675.I won this one in a hamper by Luscious Cosmetics.

I have raved on and on about Luscious Lipsticks and formulas they use in my previous Luscious posts.HERE.So I will say a few words and then we move on(hee hee impossible for me not to praise the lippies by Luscious).

The formula of all the Lipsticks by Luscious is great.The signature range is more towards matte side,but doesn't dry out lips.I don't see any flaking after use.So the usual problem of matte lipsticks has been beautifully tackled with.The formula has jojoba and vitamin E.Both of these ingredients work wonders by retaining lip moisture and and giving them softness.The signature lipstick formula can feel a little dry in winters,but even then it doesn't cause dry lips.Read my review on Luscious signature lipstick in Buff pink here.

Ok so the packaging is great as usual.It comes in a sleek black tube with a loopy "L" written over the cap.The small compartment below the lipstick tube shows the shade which is very accurate.

It has a warm cocnuty-vanilla scent.Might be bothersome for some girl,but it doesn't stay for long.

The formula is creamy and just glides smoothly on lips settling into a semi matte finish with a slight  creamy sheen.The lipstick does highlight flaws and cracks so do scrub your lips.Also applying this lipstick with a lip brush gives long lasting and smoother results.

Stay time is pretty decent.Stays on me for 4-5 hours which,I think,is great.Eating and drinking reduces the time of course(Some ladies have this magical ability of NOT eating their lipstick with food.One day I will achieve that grace too.Normally,after eating something I have a painted upper lip and a bare lower one.Not pretty,hmm I know).

Now the shade...The color raspberry is very very bold pink color.Hot pink with a hint of fuchsia(see photo below).I think it is a cool color which can be used for formal and casual events both.Albeit a bold shade,it compliments medium skin tone well.This one is a close dupe for Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick Matte by Kate Moss #110.

Overall I love this lipstick which came as a surprise since the shade is very hot.But I am glad I stepped out my comfort zone and ordered it.

For girls who are tired of the usual mute pink and want a lipstick that jazzez up their look in summers.
