TEN THINGS THAT MAKE A BUSY MOM'S LIFE EASY

When you are a mom and/or  always on the go,you do need all the help you can get in making things easy.Not everyone is lucky to have household help.So, today lets see what are the ten things that help me avoid forgotten lunch boxes,injured toes and the mess.

BASKETS:

I read somewhere that baskets are a mom's best friend.The more you have the easier it is to store things according to categorize.Keep smaller ones for stationary,larger ones for bigger things which do not have a fix place in house but are badly needed just before kids leave for school.

Baskets make it easy to have an "ORGANIZED MESS".I use the big laundry ones.However,I do up cycle fruit cartons and gift fruit baskets.

WHITE BOARD:

Do not under estimate the power of pen.One of the reasons we sometimes fail to get things done is that we forget about them until the very last moment.With all the noise and emergency situation 24/7 created by kids,it happens very often that you have to get up in the middle of a very important job.Chances are that you will forget about it by the time the crises is managed.To avoid it list important to-do's of the day on the board.This is no-mess way of remembering everything.

I dont have a large size board but a smaller one which I hang at the door out of my kids' reach.

PERMANENT MARKER:

Label those CDs and DVDs which have been lying around.This reduces time of storing them in their covers.

Label the drawers and bags and trays and storage boxes.Basically anything which causes confusion and needs sorting out.

WALL CLOCKS IN EVERY ROOM:

They make it easy to follow time.That is the basic principal of getting everywhere on time.With a clock in front of you,you will subconsciously work faster.

REPAIR BOX:

Remember those broken toys and household items that keep piling up waiting their turn for repair time which never comes.Well make a box and label it repair box.Then if anything breaks toss it in box.Take it out on sunday and repair :)

CHARGING STATION:

Mobile phones have a tendency of disappearing and ending up with dead batteries.This makes it so difficult to find them.Attach a shoe box with partitions near your wall socket.Keep the chargers in the box.When you want to start charging or want to put the mobile somewhere just place them on the charging station.

If you have kids running around the house your station will ensure that your mobiles stay out of their reach and your mobile phone has full battery when you are leaving the house.

FIXING CABINETS FOR THINGS:

A linen cupboard is a pretty common thing.All the bath and bed linen and towels are stored in it.

Similarly its always a wise move to assign each cabinet or cupborad a specialty like electric items cabinet,cleaning supplies cabinet,tissue and toilet paper drawer,sewing drawer etc.The categories can be tailored according to your own requirements.For example I have a cleaning supplies cabinet, spare batteries and electric item drawer, and ofcourse linen cupboard where I also store toilet paper rolls and tissues.

SPARE BATTERIES:

You can never have enough of these.They are needed in remote controls,toys and wall clocks.

Having a few spare packs in your cabinet can save so much of precious time and hassle.

FILES AND FOLDERS:

Putting takeaway menus in a wall hanging or easily visible place makes things very easy.TRUST ME!!!

TISSUES AND LOTS OF THEM:

It might be a little expensive, but if you use them wisely and in emergencies tissues can indeed be invaluable in a household with kids.If this still sounds expensive you can always reserve three to four dust cloths to clean the mess and wash them the next day.

Saving time is an art.It makes our busy lives so much easier.Learning new tricks and ways to organize and save time is always beneficial.These were a few of my tricks.What helps you save time?If there is any special trick do share.
