I can be quite lazy when it comes to taking care of myself.So,I am always looking for quick fixes that can do the job in less time.As you all know that scrubbing is an essential part of skin care.Having a good scrub can really save all the money you have to dole out for facials.Quite recently there is a new variant of scrubs in market namely polishers.Polish is basically scrub with finer granules and stronger formula.Today I have a polisher which has been my HG product for the past few years. Ever since i did the post on facial at home I have been getting queries about this polisher.So,
This face polish is by Hollywood style.Hollywood style is a US based company and specializes in skin care.The products are reasonably priced and have good quality.I am reviewing the brand because it says "cruelty free" and "no animal ingredients" on the label.

Got this one for PKR 350.Available at all leading departmental stores.
DIRECTIONS:Apply on wet face and rinse after gentle massage.Use twice a week.
The product is very creamy with very fine scrub granules.It has a ground meal like feel with a very effective scrubbing action.Scent is mild and will not trouble the sensitive noses.
I use this polisher twice a week.I not only use it on face, but on whole body.Elbows,knees,neck etc.Gentle massage and circular rubbing motion is the best way, because it can be harsh as a sandpaper if used with force.
I like the part that it is very easy to rinse off and doesn't leave any greasy feel behind.
It removes dead skin effectively and reveals brighter complexion.After use I can always feel that my skin is clearer and softer.It also loosens up blackheads,even removes the smaller whiteheads and blackheads.
This polisher is so effective that I always get saloon quality facial at home with it.

The glow and radiance after use is what keeps me hooked to it.My skin feels smoother and looks very even.
All in all I love the polisher.It is never heavy on pocket and does the job effectively.In fact I am so confident about its performance that If I ever start using another polisher e-g by soap n glory or TBS it would be only to get a more luxurious experience.
The only minus is that for face it can be a little strong at times.So overzealous use is not something I would recommend.Just keep in mind that is a polisher and not a scrub for daily use.
GOOD POINT:
1)-Effective.
2)-Affordable.
3)-reveals glow.
4)-Evens out complexion.
BAD POINTS:
1)-Girls with sensitive skin might not like it.
2)-Can be a little strong so has to be used with care.

Thanks for sharing this. I remember years back I tried one face was by hollywood style and that was pretty good. I was looking for a face polisher and will sure try this :)

ReplyDeleteIt should be used twice a week only or less if it doesn't suit you.It does reduce oil production but I dont think it would cause alot of dryness.

DeleteI've used Foot Scrub of the same company - it felt like cement :D So harsh and gritty, for it did the job for my heels. I'm intrigued by this :)
ReplyDeleteI have never used their foot scrub.But I use this as a foot scrub :P It is great as a full body scrub.The granules are really tiny and scrub effectively.DO try this one on feet.
