URBAN DEFENSE TINTED MOISTURIZER BY URBAN DECAY

Hello all,

Today we have Amna with us with a great product review.Let's hear what

she has for us:

"This is Amna and I am doing a guest post for Sheherzad. I do blog but

very rarely so, but today I decided to do a product review for the readers.

I am reviewing:

URBAN DEFENSE TINTED MOISTURIZER BY URBAN DECAY

URBAN DEFENSE TINTED MOISTURIZER BY URBAN DECAY

It is ideal for people who wear makeup on daily basis and don't like

foundation much. This one is especially a great product  for  college

students and working women. The best thing is that it is not heavy at all

and the way it sets on my skin is amazing. One can hardly tell if I am

wearing makeup.I do have to apply concealer to hide my very heavy under

eye dark circles though.

PACKAGING:

UD has changed the bottle now.The new packaging is user friendly .

From urban Decay Website

The one I own has old packaging. It comes with a pump which is not very

easy to use.A lot of product comes out at once. You need some practice to

get the hang of it.In my opinion, product wastage is a big con and a major

turn off for this moisturizer.Over all the packaging is bright and colorful. It

stands out beautifully in your makeup stash.

TEXTURE:

The texture is smooth and finish is not completely matte, but it will not

make you shiny either. So,the finish is somewhat luminous and dewy. It

looks all natural and not at all greasy. Some people have complained that ti

makes them shiny but I have used the product is both summers and

winters and I never faced this problem. For me its the most natural looking

makeup out there.

INGREDIENTS:

Octocrylene (8.0%), Octinoxate (7.5%)Aqua (Water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl
Stearate, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Glycerin, Silica, Dimethicone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Litchi Chinesis Pericarp Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Montmorillonite, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyenthanal. May contain CI77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI7749/77492/77499 (Iron Oxides).

It is a vegan product according to the website.

SHADES:

It only comes in four shades:

1-Halo which is the lightest of them all.

2-BodyGuard which would suit people with medium skin tones.

3-Bulletproof which would suit people with medium to dark skin tones.

4-Force field is the darkest of them all.

Although shade availability is limited but the product works well with a lot

of ranges. It does not have to be an exact match like usual foundations

since it has good adaptability.

All the shades are yellow-based so people with cool-toned skin or redness

might have a problem with it.

SWATCHES:

This is a swatch from the one I use,but since my camera failed to pick up

the right colour.

I am also including a google image to help you get a better idea. The shade

that I have is 'Body Guard'.It comes with SPF 20.

Google Image* L to R Halo Bodyguard Bulletproof*)

 MY FINAL THOUGHTS:

I would definitely recommend this product as it has worked wonders for

my very uneven skin tone. I do conceal well and then apply it on my face.

It works well for my out door events and I get a lot of compliments. The

best thing about it is that it blends really well with your skin and adjusts

itself well.

The lasting power is commendable as without a primer it lasted for 5-6

hours on me out doors.Maybe with a primer it would last longer.

Repurchase:

Yes definitely in fact I have already placed an order for it again.

Availability:

You can get the old packaged product from EmporiumCosmetics

for Rs 2500.The new one needs to be ordered from the UD

website and it could cost you nearly Rs 4000 give or take.

My rating:

                9/10

Half mark for the pump and half for the availability issues.

This is me wearing this tinted moisturizer.

Do tell me if you liked this review and found it helpful. I would love to hear

your thoughts.
