L'OREAL STUDIO CURL POWER RE-CURL MOUSSE

Hola beauties,

Hope you are having fun.We all love voluminous hair.Nowadays volume with a natural waviness in hair is really the IN thing.

Kate Hudson...I just love her.

It is so very tough for a busy mommy like me to curl my hair using curlers so for the very first time I decided to buy a curling mousse.I have natural waves in my hair, but when I brush and style them I am left with my hair somewhere in between waves and straight hair. Not very glamorous.Yeah I know.So I decided to give the curling mousse a try.Was it a succesful experiment? Was I able to get beach waves that lookes neat and effortless?Well read on to find.

The mousee comes in a handy can which has to be shaken before use. When the nozzel is pressed mousse squirts out.I,always squeez out more then I need.klutzy me.

As per instructions, the mousse has to be applied on towel dried hair. You just rub it on the whole length of hair and scrunch as you go.The pictures shown on the bottle clearly illustrate what you need to do.

Then all you have to do is wait for hair to dry.You can also use a diffuser attachment of hair dryer to attain more volume and definition.

Observe the result below.

No volume and no waves. These are my natural waves by the way.

You know I get the wavy hair naturally when I let my hair air dry on their own and don't brush them :(

Over all I am not much impressed with this mousse. It failed to give my hair voluminous waves. It did define them a little though.I know that if I use it to style my hair,I will get some defined waviness.

It is a weak product and I don't think it will work on thick hair at all.I use it just to avoid the frizz and straight look of my hair after brushing. So,it didn't work for me.I so wanted the Hukka bar type volumized waves :-(.

oh la la HOT

When you skip the shampoo day and have to go out,you can use a hazelnut size of the product to give your hair a clean look and smell. However, when I did this, the feeling of this prodcut was so strong on my hair at the end of the day that all I wanted was to go and wash it off.It felt like I have not washed my hair in four days or so.

RECOMMENDED:

If you have a diffuser with your hair dryer(I dont own one),you can give it a try.I don't recommend the product anyways.

    2. I've tried the Shockwaves Heat Protecting Curling Mousse, It's so good. It holds my curls for more than a day. My hair is quite heavy and normally doesn't hold the curls longer than an hour if I don't use any hair spray or mousse.
If you can find it, do try it out.

  2. Aww too bad it didnt work out for you. In my experience, nothing locks in waves better then a curling iron. Mousse only helps to control frizz. Thanks for your honest review:)xx

    2. i am using electric rollers (Remington) since 8-10 years , they are very good and very easy to use it takes them almost 8-10 minutes to put them on and after 20-25 minutes while u can do ur makeup or some other things they are done and to be honest the damage effect on my hairs are minimum as compare to the curling rod and straightener, actually hair colouing damaged my hair, they were soft, straight, silky, golden brown some time back and now wavy, frizzy and dry :-( i have tried many things from home remedies to anti frizz serums, conditioners, masks, leave on conditioners etc etc list is very long but :-(

    3. ok cyma electirc rollers are on my list now :-) Fo colored hair one needs to be very particular about choosing shampoo and brand of hair color.L'oreal color silk is a great and halal brand.i think it is better to do it oyurself then going to saloon becasue they use harsh chemicals and strong brands like keune.
