SOAP N GLORY FLAKE AWAY

SOAP N GLORY FLAKE AWAY

Hola Amigos,

I am sure you all have had your fair share of of the moment when you see something so delicious that all you can think of is  I-MUST-GET-MY-HANDS-ON-IT.Well today's post is about one such thing.

When I saw this jar of body scrub in reviews I was drooling for it.I mean it looked simply delicious...totally edible. So when I finally got it I was over the moon.Did it live up to my expectations?Read to know...

SOAP N GLORY FLAKE AWAY

SOAP N GLORY FLAKE AWAY

First off I would like to thank Dhanak for arranging it for me.She gave me the best possible price for this.PKR 1,450.

The jar is a pretty coral pink and holds a good amount of product.I consider this shape of jars very recyclable so that's a plus for environment lovers. The catchy humor in description really is a great point for me :)

When I opened the lid, the first noticeable thing was the scent.Oh boy...this scrub smells like perfume and a very strong one at that.Almost like men's perfume.
The fragrance has very prominent, amplified notes of peach in it.I don't mind the scent because it only adds to my experience of a luxury bath, but of course some might not like it.

The scrub has a buttery texture with sea salt granules easily palpable.Peach shell granules are also present , but these are very minuscule.

Product has to be scooped out of the jar.The scrubbing action is satisfactory, but gives away after a minute or so.The salt granules dissolve and very tiny peach shell powder is left.I have to keep on taking a little more for sustained scrubbing.

The scrubbing action is very gentle. Its not very noticeable and sometimes you may feel like the scrub is not working. However,to my surprise I did not have a single case of in grown hair growth,(which is such a big problem after waxing.I did not get that crazy itch which I always do when hair start peeping out of the skin 2 weeks post waxing). So the scrub does work without being overtly obvious. This totally works better then most body scrubs without being harsh.

It leaves skin soft, hydrated and with a buttery feel.Of course the scent lingers. It stays in the bathroom,on your skin even in your clothes. This fact will work great in summers,at least for me.

GOOD POINTS:

1)-works for in grown hair

2)-Great fragrance

3)-Great buttery texture

4)-Leaves skin smooth and soft

5)-Gentle but effective

6)-Vegan

BAD POINTS:

1)-Salt scrub can sting a little. It stings a lot on broken skin.

2)-Being a salt scrub it is not hydrating, but dehydrating without a body butter.

3)-Not for dry skin in winters.

4)-Might not be very effective .The granules vanish in a minute so you can not keep on scrubbing.

5)-Scent might be too strong for delicate noses

6)-Availability can be an issue.

7)-You have to take it out with hands so it can be unhygienic.

So,all in all this one is not the best scrub by SnG.It is basically a SPA exfoliater and meant for a luxurious experience more then anything. However,i
t does work. The skin on my legs is shinier and has less cracked look now. However, post-scrubbing a moisturizer, and a heavy one at that, is imperative. All in all I will call it a summer scrub since moisturizer is not its strongest point.

I like it a lot, but if you are looking for a polisher like scrub then this might not be your thing.

[UPDATE:I am using it in summers and simply love it.It leaves skin silky soft and bright. Its working on the in growns in the same great way.Nothing works in those pesky things but this one.I highly recommend it in summers.]
