HOURGLASS MINERAL VEIL PRIMER

Hi Peaches,

As you all already know deluxe size products are a blessing for people like me who are always hunting for the best options.A few months ago I came to know about Hourglass makeup.The mineral veil primerwas recommended multiple times by Wayne Goss of Goss makeup Artist channel (Youtube) and is loved by many others too.Its price is $52 and deluxe was the only way I could know if it was worth it.So needless to say I tried the deluxe size Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer a few months ago.So did it convince to buy the full size one?Read on to know

"A mineral-based, water-resistant primer with SPF 15 that neutralizes the skin, minimizes shine, and creates a smooth, uniform canvas.” It absorbs excess oils and minimize the appearance of pores."

First thing first its vegan.Phew :)

Price was PKR1500.

This sample size was enough to last me through all summers.The volume of the bottle was generous for a deluxe size.

The real one comes with a pump dispenser, but this mini one had a spatula like wand.Take a small amount and spread on face.

This primer unlike others of the prototype is thin liquid.It is white in color,but turns transparent after applying.It does not have that silicone touch to it.Its light weight,absorbs in skin,has a satin touch and silky finish.When applied on face  it gives a smooth satin finish to face with a mattifying effect.It is oil free so its ideal for girls with oily skin.However,this does not mean it will not work for girls with dry skin.Foundation does not cling to dry spots when you are wearing this primer.Also it has a thin texture which absorbs in skin well so it will work great for dry skin.In a nutshell It works for all skin types.

It does not roll or pill after application.This unsightly problem is a downside of so many primers,but not this one.

It keeps makeup in place for hours at end.Wearing foundation with and without it really showed what this primer was doing for me.It kept my base fresh and even looking in all those summer hours.Even now in winters it is giving my skin a smooth feel and touch so that the foundation spreads evenly and looks dewy.Since I have oily skin I can not say if the finish would be dewy on dry skin, but it definitely keeps makeup looking good and pretty for hours.

It prevents oxidation of my base meaning that it does not change color at all.

Although it claims that  the pores are minimized I personally did not notice any difference.

It has SPF 15 which is good in winters,but really not very significant in summers of Pakistan.The SPF may also cause a white cast in photos, but I did not experience it thank God.

Availability is an issue in Pakistan

I will be buying the full size very soon.It has two options 0.33 for 17$ and 1oz for 52$ .Obviously I will go for 0.33oz :p.I hope you all found the review helpful.
