For a very long time,I have been searching for a safe mineral makeup which is vegan or halal and gives good coverage and long lasting perfection.The answer to all my requirements and fuss is....MINERAL HYGIENICS. It is a mineral makeup brand based in USA.They are members of safe cosmetic compact.Here is my post on all such companies.Meaning that they are free of toxins and bismuth oxychloride.I contacted the company and they told me the foundation is free of animal ingredients.So,its vegan and halal.

The customer care are very very helpful.They have a quick response system.I emailed them regarding the vegan status and shade confusion and they replied within 24 hour.They treat every customer in a very considerate manner.None of the questions and queries are left unanswered ever.When my card was not working on the website they helped me through the procedure alot.
Payment is via credit card.Seems like standard chartered credit card works best with international shopping websites.It is a reliable website with a security certificate.If you don't feel ok with it you can have someone place the order for you.My dearest bestie did it for me.The order will be delivered to your door step.No fuss or hassel.Total deductions will be made at the time of shopping,No hidden or extra customs or shipping charges will be taken.
I ordered the Full starter kit worth 59 dollars.The company gave me a BIG discount ^_^.Also, because of all the shade confusion they were very very kind to send me an extra jar of foundation to achieve a shade match.
Now lets find out if the foundation worked for my oily,acne prone and uneven skin.
Don't have streaky application.Easy to blend.
Doesn't ball up over primer.
Do not Transfer easily.
Give a very natural finish.
It stays fresh from morning till evening(see photos).I have to work in hot and humid conditions when patient turn over is so much you can't even wipe you brow.The makeup stays on and on and on.My face doesn't melt away with the sweat.The only touch up needed are occasional blotting with a tissue around midday when the T-zone gets a little shiny.(My skin is veryyy oily.)
So wear time is friggin AHMAZIN.
Reduces redness and shrinks pores too.The smoothing and glowing effect carries over to next day.
Doesn't break out at all.My most recommended for Acne prone and oily skin.It doesn't irritate so you can use it over active acne too.I even went to bed with it a few times and it never irritated my skin.(For you beauties out there,I suggest cleansing daily at night.NEVER leave makeup on the skin for night.It affects you skin in the long run).The next day I woke up to find my skin plainer and smoother.
The best thing is it gives the girls with oily skin and acne a shot at improved complexion ( Like its theirs but better).However,it is not very good at filling out pit scars and uneven skin.You will need a filling primer like "Clinique Pore minimizing Primer" for this.
Coverage is sheer and you need a concealer with it
1-Girls who have open pores should bear in mind that mineral makeup always enhances the pores and might make them look big.So you need to consider using some filling primer like Clinique with mineral makeup.
2-You need to moisturize if you use it daily as it can have a little drying effect.I prefer a night time moisturizer.
If you have problem free skin and want a glowing complexion,this is the best option for daily use.
If you want a hypo allergic, toxin free makeup for daily use without side effects.

My shade match is medium and medium golden.I mix the two in 1/3 and 2/3 proportion respectively.Sometime I wear only medium golden as it matches me better.The mixing has to be one in jar's lid which can be a little messy.Following the method shown in brochure above I apply the minerals with full coverage kabuki.
The minerals are very very fine.They just stick to your skin and won't budge.It doesn't matter if you are wearing a primer underneath,they will become a part of your skin.My greatest fear with powder minerals was transfer to clothes.However, these beauties don't Transfer easily.
The makeup is very light.Feels natural.You don't feel like you are wearing base and best point is you don't look like you are wearing makeup.It transforms your dull skin into a matte and glowing
beauty.I just love the natural finish.You can see the transformation in the in the photos above.

I use their eye brow pencil like every day and even though I keep trying so many new foundations, Mineral Hygienics' foundation is the one that I go for when my skin is feeling sensitive. Deleteoh God seems like my prayers are heard, ihave super oily skin and acne prone as well and i wanted a mineral foundation which wont irritate my skin or cause breakouts.Although i dont wear makeup everyday but i have to during meetings and the scorching heat of paki summers makes my skin look worse with the drooping liquid foundation--such a mess ..thank u shehrzad, wud definitely want to buy it.i think availability is an issue, hope it gets resolved ..thanks
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you so much for the love Faiza.Yes this brand is my staple in summers and the best for No-makeup look :) Once you master the technique you will love it for sure.However you do need to try it well before giving up on it...if you feel like giving up which I doubt :) .Availability is not a problem if you have a credit card.Credit card works but debit doesnt.that was my masla :)
