THE BODYSHOP IFTAAR DONATION DINNER-PRESS RELEASE

Ramazan is all about sharing the bounties with our brethren.With this spirit The Body Shop Pakistan organized an iftaar dinner for the Internally Displaced persons of North Waziristan.The IDPs have left their homes and their lives behind in order to cooperate with the Government of Pakistan in fighting against terrorism.They are not only the victims, but heroes of this battle as well.It was indeed a heart touching gesture on part of The Body Shop Pakistan and one that must be followed.

"Islamabad,Sunday 20 July 2014:The Body Shop Pakistan organized a successful Iftar dinner for purpose of donating food items and sewing machines among IDP's of recent military operation Zarbe Azab.The donation was made to AMAL Human Development Network Pakistan which will ensure delivery to IDP's camps in Bannoo.


The Iftar dinner took place in The Lime Tree Kuch Khaas where many renowned personalities of Pakistan were seen supporting the generous cause initiated by Shoaib Akhtar--The Body Shop Pakistan and AMAL foundation.

Shoaib Akhtar,the chief guest at the event said,"I would like to request my fellow Pakistanis and fans world wide to support the IDPs.Please remember when you are enjoying life in the comfort of your homes the IDPs are homeless.This is the time we should come togather and work as a nation to support our own nation".



Bilal Gilani,training manager The Body Shop said, "we  believe in supporting the community and right now was the time our community needed help and that is why we have stepped forward.We shall continue this support to our community in future as well.WE from all our heart believe in JOY OF GIVING IN RAMADAN and celebrating ramadan with the IDPS of Pakistan".


 A constellation of stars and celebs were there to grace the event.Shoaib Akhtar could make it for a short time,however Haroon (Singer), Areeb Hassan (Musician) Muniba Khurram (Famous Artist) and several foreigners were there to support the noble cause of The Body Shop Pakistan.

 
Several prominent TV personalities and senior analyst Mehdi Rizvi was also there to support the cause.
